Imagine Me and You You Are My Best Friend That Was Enough Before and It Will Be Enough Again
A Must Run into!
"Imagine Me & You" is everything a romantic one-act should be: mannerly, original, containing funny, delightful scenes, based on a good story (with no gigantic Hollywood clichés), and played by a neat cast. The characters, main and secondary, are interesting.
I cannot say enough adept things most the cast. Piper Perabo and Lena Headey are both fantabulous. And the same is true for the other members of the bandage (Tony Caput, Matthew Goode, etc).
The fact that there is a lesbian relationship made the movie quite interesting to me. But, really, I would highly recommend it to whatsoever people (directly or gay) who appreciate a feel-skilful, touching (simply not sappy)well-washed romantic comedy.

"Imagine Me & You" may in fact be one of the best romantic comedies ever to striking the big screen
"Imagine Me & You" is not your typical love story. It is the story of a girl named Rachel (Piper Perabo) who is getting married to her long term fiancée Heck (Matthew Goode). At the wedding anniversary, Rachel locks optics with the flower daughter Luce (Lena Headey) and feels something that she has never felt earlier. After the wedding, Rachel invites Luce over for some dinner to give thanks her for such a wonderful bloom organization and to assistance set up up Heck's friend Coop (Darren Boyd) with Luce. Earlier dinner, Heck asks Luce if she has a husband or a boyfriend only to Heck's surprise he finds out that she has neither and is indeed attracted to members of the same sex. Heck shocked by the news, alerts Rachel. But Rachel seems to be uninterested in the news and just wants to know why she is and then drawn to Luce. Funny and touching moments ensue
I was lucky enough to be invited to a free screening for this film. This is definitely a film I would accept been happy to pay for. This movie is often funny but is never over the top. "Imagine Me & You" is definitely a breathe of fresh air when it comes to the whole romantic comedy genre. I retrieve the whole new spin with homosexual love stories is helping this genre and allowing some fresh new material to be used.
I personally really like Piper Perabo. I first saw her in the flick "Lost & Febrile" which is a wonderful and beautifully told tale. Subsequently seeing that movie, I was blown away by her functioning. But soon subsequently she wasn't in much and kind of started to practise bad mainstream movies similar "The Cave" but at present with "Imagine Me & You" I tin can say that she'southward back to where she belongs. Piper plays Rachel similar the role was tailor made for her. Her functioning is touching and believable. Matthew Goode also stars as the lovable and sensible husband. Again I liked Matthew Goode from the kickoff time I saw him in "Chasing Liberty". Goode has definitely come a long way from "Chasing Liberty" and has proved himself to be a worthy addition to Hollywood as an actor. He plays a very likable only caring husband in this moving picture. He is rather solid in his functioning and delivers some nice laughs. Also Lena Headley is a joy to lookout man on screen and played her role flawlessly. I really liked all the performances including several of the smaller roles that I oasis't mentioned.
I never heard of Ol Parker earlier I watched this flick. Mr. Parker was both the writer and managing director of this moving-picture show. I personally think that Mr. Parker has a career alee of him. The problem is will he exist able to continue his movies every bit fresh as this motion picture? Mr. Parker did a groovy task capturing the true emotions of the characters and showing how hard it is to be something that isn't e'er acceptable past anybody. I really liked the director's choice of music equally well. The Turtles vocal at the end really fit in with the moment.
Overall, I would have paid full price admission to encounter this movie and probably will become back to the theater one-time and come across it again. I think the homosexual love stories will be a big hit and brand people feel a little more accepting of someone's sexual pick. The movie is definitely a feel skilful picture show with a unique twist and a good amount of laughs. At the screening, the film had a very skillful audience and was loved by almost. People clapped and stayed till the terminate of the credits which doesn't happen that frequently. The flick made people express mirth, cry, and overall feel good most life. "Imagine Me & You" is definitely a movie I would like to run into more of in the years to come up.
MovieManMenzel'southward final rating for "Imagine Me & You" is an 8/10.

a true romantic one-act
This picture is striking...I couldn't disagree more with the opinions that information technology lacks centre and conviction and is built upwardly on also many clichés. Obviously with the genre it is difficult to avoid these things, but Ol Parker did a wonderful task breathing life into this love story. I walked in with very few expectations and left wanting to ain a copy to watch once more and once more.
The characters, if somewhat two dimensional, are relate-able and passionate. Rachel is flawless, possibly the best I take seen of Perabo (especially compared to her performance in her other lesbian film, 'Lost and Delirious'). The moving picture is worth seeing for her lonely--she conveys with the uncomplicated wring of a hand or glance a thousand words. She brings to the function the giddy excitement of anyone who's always been in honey before, but at the same time deals with the obstacles of wedlock and her newfound homosexuality in very real ways.
Matthew Goode also has a very praise worthy operation. In fact, nigh of the actors hither really are excellent in their parts and their timing is vivid. I laughed out loud multiple times and information technology was nice to see 'funny girls' on their own terms in the current Hollywood of 'Nuptials Crashers' and 'Anchormen' where one-act is becoming routine and lackluster. Gotta dear the British humor!
On a final note, this is an exceptional film in my eyes for the way information technology handles the lesbian theme. Parker is tasteful and human being almost it, making it near love more than than anything else. This is the kind of atmosphere that makes you believe in love, whether yous're gay or straight, and have faith that there is one person out in that location if only y'all'll keep your eyes open up.

MPAA is stupid.
I am non hither to talk about this moving-picture show. I am FUMING because of the MPAA rating for this moving-picture show. Rated R. ARE You KIDDING????????? This motion-picture show was a harmless romantic one-act just similar the millions out at that place: Pretty Adult female, Notting Hill, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days- all of which are rated PG 13. I am then angry at the blatant discrimination in the rating of this movie. Because it portrays lesbians FAIRLY (meaning, no ane freaks out most their sexual orientation), it is rated R. And this might exist no big bargain. I mean, after all, nosotros can all watch this film as adults. However, the blatant discimination makes me angry. And furthermore, making this film, similar thousands of other films almost LGBT people unavailable to a younger audience further isolates and "other-izes" LGBT people. Its not right.

Refreshingly delicate
Imagine Me and You is best described as frail. Very merely this movie is about love.
As a British romantic comedy, Imagine Me and You will ever draw comparisons to films such as Honey Actually, Notting Hill and Four Weddings and Funeral simply the level of reality portrayed in these films compared to Imagine Me and You is i of the major distinctions. Glittery moments, such as the doorstep scene betwixt Keira Knightley and Andrew Lincon in Love Actually, are few and far between in the picture show, just this is by no means a criticism. The film never lacks any tenderness, in fact quite the contrary equally it creates a greater impression of reality considering of less ostentatious cinematography and mise-en scene. Occasionally the flick falls into the trap of representing a very American idea of Britishness. The characters are all upper class Londoners, attractive, well-off with successful jobs. The male characters are foolish, awkward, hapless 'twits' but this does not detract from the charm of the moving picture.
The picture follows Rachel (Piper Perabo) her fiancé/husband Heck (Matthew Goode) and their hymeneals florist Luce (Lena Exciting) who immediately has an bear upon on Rachel leading her to re-appraise her seemingly perfect relationship.
The moving-picture show honours love of unlike kinds. The love between Rachel and Heck, who are married at the outset of the flick is never disputed or questioned, they were all-time friends and this developed into a quite obvious love and admiration between the couple. Rachel loves Heck, but she is not *in* dear with him. Nevertheless, with Luce, Rachel experiences the instant, intense, exciting, passionate, all encompassing love at first sight. The fact that Rachel is experiencing this with a adult female is not the consequence, simply rather that the commencement fourth dimension Rachel catches Luce'southward eye is on her manner down the alley.
Unlike other films of the same genre, the characters are well adult and multi-layered. The comedy is typical human foot-in-the-mouth humour, and silly 1-liners, merely is delivered with impeccable timing mostly past the parents. (Anthony Head plays an splendid aged Hugh Grant character and Celia Imrie is wonderful every bit a prim and proper, sharp mother.) The other performances are subtle, with all of the tenderness, heartbreak, sense of humour, intensity and defoliation that the script asked of the performers.
Imagine Me and You has high production values, is written and directed with intendance and sensitivity the truth isn't over thought, over polished, or softened and is a refreshing modernistic representation of dear.
But of course, almost important for a British viewer - Piper Perabo's accent is remarkably proficient.

A skillful chick flick!
This is the very first lesbian - honey film I have e'er watched. And weeks ago I started watching a lot more of the same genre - and still find this movie the best among the balance (although I Tin can't Think Direct is coming closer).
Well-nigh this. Information technology is a great movie, absolutely. I am not saying this considering I am across pro-homo or that I am 1 of 'em. The moving-picture show had spoken for itself. I actually liked the idea of 2 people getting settled with life for once and for adept - until a tiny flake of fate happened and inverse it all. And likewise the fact that it did not just talk almost the problem of loving a girl - when you are also one.
In a tiny and very unimportant bit, information technology is a gay picture. Only the balance talks about falling in dear and all the complications that come up in between - similar liking somebody else when you are well married. And that is exactly what the movie is about and should be called, a honey movie.
And who the hell knew the demure and sexually dislocated Rachel was a bad ass lesbian from Lost And Febrile? Well done, Piper!

Love is Non Obscene!
Alert: Spoilers
And then why is this Movie Rated 'R'? Is it Honey? Inconvenient Love? The Passion i tries to ignore and resist when they've just married their 'Best Friend'? The guilt, that tears one autonomously, when one'due south partner is kind and deserving, but a hole-and-corner desire becomes overwhelming?
Is it the Obscenely Beautiful Piper Parabo who could exist so desirable to both a human being and a woman? No Nudity, a couple of 'F' Words in acrimony. (from a Grandmother!) Maybe it's that the simply Passionate Osculation is between two Women! This movie should be REQUIRED for Teenagers, not banned from them.
Even if you think you Know yourself and your Orientation, and have never been tempted to cross-over before, yous tin can't discount the Societal and Family unit Pressure to do the 'Normal' thing - Marry a nice successful person of opposite gender and start procreating. The movie fifty-fifty features ane philandering heterosexual, who will probably never 'Commit'. Now that could exist Obscene. Just instead, becomes powerful contrast to the purity of unconsummated Love!
Love can be Inconvenient, tin have Innocent Collateral Harm. It'south a Powerful Forcefulness. But Dear is NOT Obscene!

No demand to "Imagine" "Me & You" loving this movie, one of the years best and funniest movies
A witty and charming one-act nearly a adult female ready for her wedding and soon stolen away afterward seeing an unsuspected and uninvited guest. The film at outset sounding typical with perhaps a few chuckles her and there just goes much further than that. Every scene has its ain mannerly nuance of one-act and delightful character development, an academy award nominee already. Although at present information technology'southward express to theaters but soon the fans will be lining up to see this laugh out loud and heat warming tale of true love. The actors do well over and highering my expectations to what peachy acting is. This, this is neat acting. One of my new favorite movies and the years best. My concluding rating 10/ten

Absolutely Adorable Love Story
Warning: Spoilers
This is, admittedly, the perfect lesbian engagement flick. I've seen a lot of Lesbian picture palace. As a aforementioned-sexual activity loving person you tend to seek out those movies that reverberate you, zippo unusual. But fifty-fifty the simplest of the Lesbian films - even those on the calorie-free side - tend to reverberate some formulaic approaches. Like the husband is a wiggle or dead weight. To the opposite... in imagine, me & You ...you LOVE Heck to death and tin imagine why his wife has such a hard time following her center. The most shocking function of the whole film is that you equally an audience not merely experience sorry for Heck catastrophe up getting the curt finish of the stick, you indeed fall in dearest with him yourself. Not only that, I recollect the reactions to the fact Luce is a lesbian are refreshingly neutral. Treated more as a fact of her life than some disease. In fact, Across Rach's Mum reaction to it, there's no large "family" backfire purely on the idea of Luce (and possibly Rach) being a lesbian. I absolutely adored the fact that 85% of the movie is merely about "What if on the day you were to marry your best friend, you met someone who stole your heart without even trying?" Only virtually 15% of the movie deals with the shock of that existence someone of the same gender. And did I mention you freakin' love about EVERY character in this motion picture. How many movies tin can sell you lot on damn most everyone... peculiarly the enchanting trivial girl that plays "H" (Rach'southward younger sister). And Giles, GILES from Buffy the Vampire Slayer playing her dad but gave me all kinds of fan-daughter joy.
Later on seeing Piper Parabo as the tragic young lover who loses the girl in "Lost & Febrile" it was nice to come across her get her adult female in this film, simply it's difficult to even connect this sweet English language girl (Rachel) to the hardened and very lost Paulie in "Lost and Delirious" which Really makes me respect her every bit an actress. And aye, I TOTTALLY bought her British accent.... I don't know why people thought it sounded fake.
Imagine Me & You is perhaps the first Lesbian Romantic comedy I've seen that equals up to some of the best of the same in the Heterosexual arena. Definitely the best "feel good" Lesbian moving-picture show I've always seen. It didn't even need a sex scene to sell itself to the audience every bit a story of genuine love. And in this sex-charged (sex=love, except information technology doesn't) world it's nice to come across a story ascent higher up the need to sell the story based on erotic moments, minus a really funny trip to the Video store - one of the best scenes in the film in my opinion.

And then happy together...
Warning: Spoilers
Imagine Me and You is a wonderful uplifting film and is everything a comedy should be. It is original, charming, witty and has some peachy express mirth out loud moments while having simply the right amount of drama in between. Granted, this is not your usual stereotypical love story. Instead of boy meets girl, it'southward girl meets daughter! Hither'south the story in a nut shell: Rachel is getting married to the very lovable Heck who is also her best friend. During the hymeneals, she meets florist, Luce whom she "clicks" with immediately. Simply when sparks brainstorm to fly, information technology causes some trouble between her family and friends; hilarious results ensue! I also think information technology delivers a very proficient message although I will let you effigy that out for yourself.
Piper (Rachel) and Lena (Luce) have astonishing chemical science on screen (and actually feel like a "real" couple) while Matthew Goode shines every bit the all lovable Heck! Do non be put out by the ridiculous R rating! There is only one lot of bad linguistic communication and the suggestive content is only what you would expect in a 12 rated moving-picture show. This is definitely a "experience-skillful" picture show and really puts a smile on your face up. It has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and does not use crude humour and ridiculousness to deliver them. The "football stadium" scene for case was very sweet and funny at the aforementioned time. Yes, some may say information technology's a little predictable but it's lighthearted and fun and well worth watching. Whether y'all are lesbian or straight, I would definitely recommend watching this movie. I merely wish there were more comedies like this...eight/10.

Romantic comedy, sometimes pitiful, simply with its sympathies in identify
"Imagine Me & You" is a type of romantic comedy, but it's drama too. When Rachel (Piper Perabo) marries Hector (Matthew Goode) she meets Luce (Lena Headey). Trouble is Rachel finds herself increasingly more interested in and attracted to Luce than to her hubby.
The film presents us with a sometimes dark, and sometimes painfully distressing story of what happens when someone gets married before they come across their 1 true love. But here that story is told to us beautifully, yes with drama, but also with humour and dearest. The characters are all written beautifully, and performed fifty-fifty better, so that nosotros are actually able to sympathize with all of them and still have a smile on our face near of the time.
If you lot are looking for a romantic comedy that's romantic and funny simply also told with empathy, and then "Imagine Me & You" is a perfect choice. Not to trivialize some of the elements that they have in mutual, but "Kissing Jessica Stein" (2001) fans should enjoy it.

One of the best romantic movies, with a touch on of fun.
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this film since the first moment. It'south witty and sweetness, and funny, then you'll really savor the film. I felt bad for Heck at some bespeak, he was merely too expert, but what Rachel felt with Luce was true love, love at get-go sight, and for Rachel luck, Luce was a lesbian, so she tin can be sure that Luce'd love her back without any complications. The simply complication was Heck, who was very understandable at the end, and even if he gets hurts he'd love to run into Rachel happy with Luce.
Maybe it gives a bad message, kinda, I hateful, leaving your husband some weeks after, even though Rachel was willing to stay with him, merely he decided it was unfair for her, she needed to be happy and by his side she'd never be complete. The love story betwixt Rachel and Luce was sweet and funny, and had a happy ending without being so corny and unrealistic. What an crawly motion picture, I really liked and is one of my favorites. It besides support the idea of loving someone of your aforementioned sex, which is not wrong, so I liked that message likewise. I really recommend this.

Excellent film almost love...
Information technology's and then rare to come across a movie that actually shows people who have a conscience, and are able to truly love each other. This one breaks the mold in a style that is touching, funny, moving, and realistic. All of these characters are so likable, it'south a pleasure to watch them. This is a very rewarding movie experience. The dialogue touched my heart, but non in a mode that fabricated me feel similar I was being manipulated. So oft films are "likewise absurd" to show people who truly intendance virtually each other, but this i is brave plenty to show that what really adds value to our lives is loving each other, and going for truthful passion is what keeps usa vibrant.

Loved it! Best romantic comedy ever!
I but went to a screening of this pic at a local theater. I was ecstatic when I learned it would be bachelor in my area. I've already secured tickets to ii of the other showings.
I loved information technology! Absolutely fabulous!
I mean I came out of the theater thrilled (and dabbing my eyes) considering it was way better than my expectations. I think it's one of the best romantic comedies that I've seen in a long time.
I'm and so glad that information technology was made in the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland because the The states would take drowned out so much of the sincerity. The film was cracking, really great. I continued with every character and loved each one. I was there and felt the pain, happiness, and beloved. I just loved information technology!
Piper and Lena have terrific chemistry which is undeniable.
I laughed, I cried... it moved me! V stars!
A beautiful story that leaves you waiting and wondering when your soul mate will announced.

Not happily married!
Warning: Spoilers
Rachel, who is preparing for her hymeneals to Heck equally the story opens, shows she is not completely sold on the man she is near to say "I do". The flowers at the church and the reception have been lovingly bundled by Luce, who ane guesses has an eye on the bride herself. Information technology is easy to see the attraction, both are beautiful women. To make matters worse, Rachel has no clue equally to what her life with Heck will exist similar.
Luce, is disarmingly honest. When Heck effort to fix her up with their all-time homo, Coop, she informs him she is a lesbian, something that takes him by surprise. Being an open minded person, Heck doesn't encounter the danger in the new friendship his wife develops for the florist. As it turns out, Rachel starts having doubts about her own sexuality. She sees in Luce someone who is more attuned with her than her ain husband. Rachel realizes the error she has made; she too, is not dishonest about information technology and decides to allow her husband knows how she really feels about a newly discovered trait she did not know almost.
"Imagine You lot and Me", written and directed by Ol Parker is inoffensive enough not to raise eyebrows as it is never in your face and tries to play every bit a romantic entertainment. A fine bandage was assembled for the film. Lena Headey and Piper Perabo exercise a credible job every bit the women they were asked to portray. Matthew Goode proves he is a solid comedian who is an asset in anything in which he appears. The fantabulous Anthony Caput and Celia Imrie are seen as Rachel's parents. Darren Boyd and Sue Johnston are as well good.

What would happen if the girl from "Coyote Ugly" moved to London and got married?
... she would become a lesbian. All bad movie comparisons aside, "Imagine Me & You" has become one of my favorite romantic comedies, e'er since I "forgot" to return the DVD to Blockbuster.
It starts out a little rocky - Rachel is about to get married, and locks eyes across the room with her florist, as she's walking downwardly the aisle. An opening scene like that has you thinking, "Oh no. This unabridged movie is based on a love at starting time sight connection that happened... on this girl'south wedding day?!" Usually, those sorts of things bother me in movies - cheating spouses, lying to your spouse, a whole love story that happens while one of the parties is supposedly married to someone else. But the chemistry between Piper Perabo and Lena Headey is so charming, and the rest of the characters are so affable that information technology's easy to forget most the slightly illogical premise.
My favorite thing about this move is that it easily becomes a lesbian motion picture without an calendar. Rachel and Luce fall in love just as easily and charmingly as any straight couple in a Sandra Bullock pic, which is refreshing and delightful to watch. By mid-motion-picture show, y'all're wondering whether "Dance Dance Revolution" might be a good idea for your next appointment. By the end, you're practicing shouting soccer profanity from your diaphragm.
No idea what I'chiliad talking near? You'll just have to watch the movie to find out.

I loved it!
I saw this film today at the Toronto International Pic Festival and I really liked information technology. I was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected plot (it didn't match my expectations based on the mini summary I read prior to seeing the picture)....I won't elaborate since it will spoil the flick for others. The merely reason I give a ix rating instead of x is that there were a few unrealistic and sometimes too predictable scenes, but this really didn't detract from the overall pic feel. The cinematography is actually wonderful and the use of colour and locations is really quite wonderful likewise. I actually enjoyed the panoramic views of the city of London. Anyway, compliments to new director on the scene, Ol Parker. I hope we see more from you in the near future!

Encounter Cute
Warning: Spoilers
Imagine Me & You lot is a rather harmless romantic one-act with a swell great cast. The setup has been covered to expiry but Piper Perabo and Lena Headey lock eyes during Piper's march downwards the wedding alley and everything else in the movie plays out. I specially liked Matthew Goode's performance. The tertiary wheel in a romantic one-act is e'er the most hard only he pulls it off pretty well. Since all of this is in the trailer I'one thousand not sharing a spoiler but when he breaks up with Piper he wants her to be happy, just happy with him you can sense his heart breaking. To paraphrase from the book "Love Monkey" sometimes the dealer looks at you and says, "Yous lost. Try your luck at a different table".
I thing, Imagine Me & You really isn't funny enough to exist a comedy or serious plenty to be a drama. It is a low-cal fluffy slice of life about i woman's search for honey. The problem with beingness true to yourself is the damage your search causes to the people you love.
I very much enjoyed this movie and promise y'all come across it.
BTW The babe factor is extremely high with Piper and Lena but in that location is less objectionable material (other than content) than you would find on a PAX TV show. How tin can you have ii drop dead chicks in a romance and not have a single fleck of nudity? Hey maybe this was a tragedy?

"Yous did nothing wrong." ... "I did, and the truth is I would practise it again."
A real sleeper from BBC Films, Pull a fast one on Searchlight, and writer-managing director Ol Parker, a romantic one-act with a lesbian twist in which all the involved parties (both gay and straight) sally victorious, bubbling over with the excitement of budding new love. A lesbian florist makes friends with the ambrosial newlywed couple on whose wedding ceremony she just worked, though she and the young bride tin't seem to terminate grin at i another. What results in this girlie friendship is probably anticipated to rom-com addicts (the film's formula, despite different ingredients, is familiar later all), yet Parker'southward dialogue is vivid and witty, and his eccentric collection of veddy British characters proves to exist a wonderful melange of souls hoping to connect or reconnect. The film is utterly delightful, with a praise-worthy cast and a beautiful series of happy endings for all. ***1/2 from ****

Love at commencement glance.
Warning: Spoilers
Ol Parker writes and directs a story of mixed dearest and fidelity to ane's own heart. Follow your heart...fifty-fifty if it takes a 2nd attempt. Rachel(Piper Perabo) and Heck(Matthew Goode)have spent a lot of time developing a love that contains respect, trust and understanding. A trying marriage from the very start. Walking downwardly the aisle, the bride is stunned with a fleeting glance that turns into an infatuation like no other. Confused and lost, how does a newly-wed helpmate go on from feeling like she is betraying her 'meant-to-be', when she has to tell him she is in love with another woman. The other adult female is Luce(Lena Heady), a beautiful florist, and Heck had no idea of his wife's leaning toward lesbianism. There is a satisfying catastrophe. And watching the credits, you know that everyone is happy. The cast besides features: Anthony Head, Sue Johnston, Darren Boyd and Boo Jackson.

A Polished Flick Worth Watching
Something in that location is that the British empathize almost drawing room comedies that results in taking subjects that may prove a flake shaky in others' easily, simply in the British fashion it all seems so right. Writer/managing director Ol Parker'southward IMAGINE YOU & ME is not a novel thought - dearest triangles that begin at the wedding ceremony of a couple - but this one has a scrap of a twist in that the disruptive triangle results form the 'love at first sight' betwixt the florist in accuse of the nuptials and the bride! Rachel (Piper Perabo - a very fine American extra in this English cast) plays the helpmate to Matthew Goode's Heck and the florist Luce is wonderfully the role of Lena Headey. The unplanned glance betwixt the two women happens on the fashion to the altar and afterward both women feel such profound and warm infatuation with each other that they seek one another's company, completely open-eyed. The manner in which this happens involves Heck, Heck'south all-time homo Cooper (Darren Boyd), and Rachel'southward parents Celia Imrie and Anthony Head - as well as Rachel's wise piddling sis H (Boo Jackson). The triumph of sense over sensibility is predictable but the manner in which the writing and the superb interim heighten a fairly obvious catastrophe is what makes this movie such a delight.
The actors are all bonny and endearing and carry the story and the social lessons well. Information technology may be lightweight, but it is a consummate pleasance to lookout man. Grady Harp

We and then need to run into more of this.
Piper's accent was and then peachy! Still amazed Well I just love it, and deceit cease bugging my friends to run across it likewise!

6th Review: Too rich, too poor
Who really has this life? Dissimilar Kissing Jessica Stein which is real, and proficient moving-picture show-making Imagine Yous and Me is but lacking a cameo from Rowan Atkinson to consummate information technology'southward ain barmy reality of pseudo-upper-class values. Matthew Goode fifty-fifty looks similar Rupert Everett.
Peradventure information technology ready out to be 4 Weddings - everyone lives impossibly fortunate lives - it all looks like an eighties extravaganza of indulgent values - a sort of lesbian hooray henry (or Henrietta?) state set but set in Primrose Hill.
In that location is something basically wrong with the film - if should take come out 15 years ago - now it's more than dated - it's embarrassing in its total adherence to its fairytale realism - peradventure the realism is there, but I can't see it. It just comes across equally defective any bite: soppy, soppy, soppy -- Ealing One-act it ain't - and they wonder why the US failed to get this completely - the box takings were appalling - even the British have moved on from this. If had been less comedy of manners and more development it would have been less drippy.
There are no sense that some real heart shows - it lacks true romance and puts in sentimentality equally a half-nurtured substitute: the soundtrack doesn't help -- truly horrible -- tiresome strings and even slower classical guitar - in all the wrong places.
The only redeeming grapheme is Lena Headey's (and the kid) who has a touch of truthful realism amid this mess of manners and mannerisms.
Sorry - but non Iv Weddings -- more of a funeral -- the values just don't fit.

Admittedly Amazing!!! A gorgeous moving picture!
Alert: Spoilers
I saw this picture at a free screening yesterday and was utterly blown abroad. I have been looking forwards to seeing information technology since I saw the trailer before Brokeback Mountain. So, when the free screener tickets arrived in the mail service at work during i of my shifts, I knew it had to exist fate! From get-go to finish the film was dazzling. The humor was spot on as were all of the actors' performances. The film had a light, fun, comical mood near it and never got depressing or dark. However, the love story between the two women unfolded at simply the right pace to make me experience such exquisite longing! Just like in "Lost and Delirious", Piper Perabo makes the audience believe in every glance, every gesture. Lena Headey was also a welcome surprise after appearing in "The Cave" and "The Brothers Grimm", comparably lackluster films, earlier this twelvemonth. The pic ends how we all want it to end, without being insensitive to the other characters in the movie. The unfairness of the situation is adequately dealt with and the jilted hubby is not made out to be a monster. Equally a lesbian, this flick was a jiff of fresh air for me. Even movies that I consider to be good gay films (Lost and Febrile, Kissing Jessica Stein, etc.) usually cease with one of the women dying or going straight. Seeing the girl finally get the daughter in the cease was gratifying. This is a romance movie for everyone, not just united states of america overly romantic lesbians looking for honey. The sexuality of the characters is non made a key focus. Soul mates come in all shapes and sizes and you have to follow your heart where it leads you.
